I went to see Afra Eisma's Hush exhibition and it was incredibly interesting to say the least. What a sensory experience! I won't spoil it but come to ICA San Diego before June 1st to watch, listen, lounge on, and enjoy Hush. I love contemporary art and think that anyone can benefit from experiencing new exhibitions, especially on a whim.

Can't believe it was free to get into see these amazing exhibits. Small space, powerful presence touching subjects of race, sexuality, relationships, relavance and spirituality. Staff are absolutely amazing and so eager to discuss the exhibits. I had the most delightful and insightful conversation with a gentleman who let me contemplate the art and offered information without being intrusive. That engagement was worth so much to me. I'm deliberately not posting many pics here so you can experience it yourself person. Don't miss that donation box on your way out! They deserve all the support!

Accessibility: there are no restrooms inside here; you have to go to another building to find one. There is an elevator once you come inside that takes you down to the bottom floor where the museum begins. It is all flat ground from there. Experience: this museum is FREE, which is awesome! You can leave a cash donation if you want to support the artists and museum. The exhibition I saw was on the fact that humans are destroying the planet, and it was interesting but definitely not kid friendly (this time). I think other times they have more kid friendly exhibits. I do recommend checking this place out! It's good to support local museums and keep them in business. ****edit***** the business owner replied and said there is a restroom here for customers but I went last week, I asked the employee, and she said there was not one...she said I had to leave the building to find one. Sounds like there is a miscommunication between employees.

There is no admission for this small gallery at Balboa Park. It's worth the walk through to see the exhibits. Make sure to stop by if you are in the area.
