Ann Arbor townie here. I've always enjoyed Izzy's since I was a kid. It had been a few years since I've been in until today. I must say, that was a mistake on my part. This was hands down one of the best cheese steaks I've ever had. I thought it was good before but it was even better today. I'll definitely be in more often. Anyone who leaves a negative review on this place is a fool. If I would have dropped that hoagie in a puddle, I still would have ate it. Staff was awesome and friendly as I always remembered. 10/5 stars.

This place is an Ann Arbor institution. It is not fine dining. It is great comfort food. Delicious hogies,fries,soups, and more. The meatball sub used to be my favorite had not been in years. I went back today it was just as good as I remembered. 🤩I'm glad this place survived all the hard times and is still serving up top-notch food. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Izzys hoagie shop is great for the tastebuds, sandwiches are always super fresh. Desi has great customer service and has knowledge of the good stuff on the Menu, while having a awesome personality. Super happy with the adjustments to the Schedule adding a few hours to the days definitely makes the challenge of making it here on time less daunting. One of the best Hoagie and Sandwhich spots in Town.

This place continues to deliver the same high bar of quality food after decades and changing hands. I always get the Italian, although the steak hoagies are also quite nice. For the 3 months after lent they do fish and chips and I was floored by the quality; unfortunately I have to wait 9 months for that again (pleeease make this a regular menu item!!) Kinda a weird thing to add but their fountain pop offerings are on point as well. Do yourself a favor and grab an Italian hoagie- the oregano and olive oil drizzled on top is truly unique.
