Timing is key. The peak blossom is a narrow window, we went late by a week and it was already turning white. Still a pretty walk around the area including the museum. Also ensure you park close to museum and not where maps suggests, it was a good 30 min walk to get to the real blossoms.

I highly recommend everyone to go to Jackson Park for the cherry blossoms in the spring, and to visit for walks, picnics and more!
