Update: I hiked Javelina Trail today (1 year ago today I also hiked it) Today was more eventful with the wildlife we encountered. Be careful when hiking and be vigilant snakes are sharing the path with you! lol This was one of my favorite trail hikes. Beautiful cactus and flowers in bloom, beautiful spring weather and no snake sightings.

The Google directions on getting here can be a little confusing but it's well worth the hassle. I've seen many different types of animals here rabbits, quails and even a rattlesnake watch where you step lol 😆 anyways just such a wonderful place to hike with lots of intermediate and beginner trails definitely recommend if you want to try somewhere new to hike.

The GPS took us to a gate. But we asked and found out where to park and the trail starts before the gate. It took us an hour. Most of the trail is paved. Watch for a small sign that says closed dusk to dawn. That is where the rocky trail starts to take you to the top of a hill with good views.
