Way overrated ice cream shop! A lot of flavors, but lack of good flavors. Plenty of other places can do better than Jeni's at this time. It looks something changed, since, before, Ice creams here were less sweet and more flavorish. Perhaps it was no good idea to open many locations and compromising the quality/flavor.

I I would have never found this amazing ice cream place if I hadn’t visited Chicago. I love the chain, and the unique flavors. Their service is really nice, and the place is well decorated.They have a lot of variety in flavors and that topping options. Their salted butter waffle cone is amazing. I tired the Thai spiced version with coconut - really nice. Their double chocolate and salted peanut butter is the best though. They also have a few accessories and memorabilia that you can buy from the store. The seating is kind a limited but they have a group seating too.

Is the ice cream great tasting? Yes. Is it the best I have ever had? I would say top ten. Does the price match the goods you are getting? No. $12 for one pint of ice cream is way to much. Most premium brands come in at a lower price. Next the service was great, Greeted nicely, helped to find a flavor that was good then at the end it was rushed as another customer walked in. So was the service worth paying double? No, if I was getting scooped ice cream in a cone that’s made on site then yes I would expect to pay the higher price but not a pint of ice cream. In short great service but overpriced goods.

Did you know that Jeni's gives you free ice cream in your birthday month. I signed up for the rewards on the app and during the entire month, I am able to redeem a free scoop. The service was great. I was able to sample as many flavors as I wanted and the staff did a good job explaining to me each of the flavors. My favorite flavor is darkest chocolate. I always get it whenever I visit. I went during the daytime and there was no wait. I'm sure it's busier in the evening. Can't wait to go back to try something different!
