I paid $16 for a cocktail and a hot dog, which I thought was very reasonable. I paid with my card, and I found it strange that the bartender (an older man) didn’t hand me the machine to tip—he just moved it away quickly. I still wanted to tip, so I took $2 in cash from my purse and gave it to him. Later, I saw a $20 charge on my bank account. When I checked the receipt, I realized he had added a tip himself and even signed it as if it were me. I’m not upset about the amount—I’m upset about the dishonesty. You can’t just add a tip and forge a signature without the customer’s consent. That’s stealing. It really ruined what had been a great night, and I was hoping to come back to this place in the future. Sadly, I won’t support a business that operates this way. If you visit, make sure to double-check your receipt and personally sign the payment screen.
