Bartender was friendly enough, but I question the hygiene of the establishment. Unfortunately, he was picking his ear then proceeded to make us drinks. Customers can be more cognizant about practices than staff realize. The bathrooms are abysmal but whatever, we aren't going there to rate a bathroom, but it does factor into the whole review. Cocktails were less than mediocre, but it's no fancy bar..seems like a place where average Joe's wearing caps come to just have a beer.

Tonight I made a point to stop in with my friends after Christkindlmarket, and we were all glad we did!! Met some awesome regulars, and the bartenders, we just loved the atmosphere!! Great place!!! An old school local bar. Has a great vibe. Bartenders should be gold plated the service is so good. Dave is my favorite bartender and brother. A “regulars” crowd that gives the place a real neighborhood feel and are very friendly. For parking…Either the spot right in front of bar or three blocks away. Diverse canine population passes the front of bar on regular basis. Some have great sweaters. Not many bark so that’s nice. Really makes Joe’s is a one of a kind local bar with the best bottled beer in Chicago.
