I've enjoyed the loving faith community of Journey IFC for a long time. I came out of a traditional church background where I've seen too many people hurt by an emphasis on condemnation that's based on misinterpretations and literal misapplication of ancient tribal stories. Journey tends to served as MASH unit to triage the wounded who long to be reminded that they are worthy to loved and celebrated for the way that God made them. Jesus reminds us all that to "love our neighbor" and to "love God" is more important than any other human invented rule. This crazy community actually tries to do that (love) every day,in its own quirky way. Questioning is embraced and worship is more conversation than lecture. I love the people here and know they love me.

My growth in faith has exceeded anything I had every known since being a part of Journey IFC. After being raised in a very traditional church, I never felt a deep connection with God. Now my soul is nourished each Sunday. Wonderful teachings and very loving community.

I’ve been part of the Journey Imperfect Faith Community for almost the entire time of its existence of nineteen years. Through those years we have had many ups and downs. Despite these variations, the spirit of JourneyIFC has remained the same. We are a place open to allowing everyone to believe as they will. We do not tell people what to believe. The word “community” is in the name. We hope people who join us on Sundays or during our other events will feel welcome and appreciated for all that they are. We laugh, we cry, we learn, we disagree. We want to be fully human in a loving way and support each other in our growth.

JIFC is a small, loving church with a focus on inclusion and bringing people of all faiths (or none) together. I love the non-hierarchical structure of the Sunday service and how warm the community is

Awesome, engaging services and adult bible studies. Services are more participatory than most, which we loved. Activities and many voices in the service made us feel really connected to the church community. Bible studies often began with a bit of historical context, followed by lively and critical discussion. Journey felt like a safe place for learning and self-discovery. We always felt welcome and accepted as we were, with no "if's, and's, or but's" about it. Still looking for another church like this since moving out of state. Thanks!
