I have taken several of the group classes at Knit ATX and had individual lessons as well! Tara, Chonita, Connie, Kaiwen, and everyone at Knit ATX is so knowledgable and kind. Seriously I can show up in such a panic and they help me figure anything out and get back on track. I've learned so much in just a few short months in crochet, embroidery, and knitting. I really love the yarn selection too! Including a pic of my socks group class progress with the Madeline Tosh yarn KnitATX has in stock. Love this place!!

I’m a beginner and the staff here has been so helpful! I’ve been checking out local yarn stores and when I arrived here I had several questions about knitting, classes, etc. Tara and Kaiwen answered my questions, looked up classes for me, made recommendations and wrote them down for me. It’s hard working in customer service. I did it for many years so I want to give a big shout out to this shop! I’ve now taken ongoing classes with Chonita and Tara both of whom were wonderful! The yarn there is amazing! Finally, I love that KnitATX fosters community with Sunday Knitting Socials, Movie Night, retreats, etc. KnitATX is a great place to learn, shop and make new friends!

This is a wonderful shop with a vibrant community of knitters/crocheters/fiber artists. I'm so glad that I visited Knit ATX today for a welcoming Studio Social. I had so much fun meeting so many creative and kind people that I barely even took in the gorgeous yarn. I will be back soon!

Nice yarn selection. Two large tables for classes and for just knitting. The owners are knowledgeable and very friendly. They've done a great job of creating a friendly and social environment for people visiting the shop

This place gets five stars for the community they have managed to build around knitting. I went in with a knitting project conundrum and the owner Kaiwen generously spent over three hours with me ripping out the project and fixing it so I didn't have to completely start anew. During that time, a class was going on -- it was clear that everyone in the class knew each other well and had even taken it upon themselves to turn one day a month into a potluck. Everyone was laughing and friendly and I heard many people express their appreciation for the space. It was apparent what a community space this place functions as. I was even given a slice of homemade cheesecake to take home with me. Overall a gem of a spot, I will definitely be back.
