First time at Hawthorne Asylum. Came after work, around 5 pm. Not crowded. Vibe was chill and cool. Decided to try Korean Twist’s Bulgogi Beef Rice Bowl. Great taste, good portions, can with two potstickers and a side salad. Cook/server super nice. Ate at the fire pit table. Highly recommend. Will have to come again.

This hands-down, my favorite food cart in the asylum. But the last time I went, i ordered my rice bowl with tofu, and walked away to get a thai iced tea a few carts down. When I came back, the employee flagged me down to let me know there's actually no tofu left... I don't eat meat so I didn't want anything else. I had paid with credit card, and left a $2 tip on the card... I got refunded the cost of the bowl itself back in cash, but was not given the tip back. So I basically paid for nothing, and they still got my gratuity. Idk, just seems shady. I'll give them another go because their food is so good... but this just kinda made me upset. Oh well, I guess.
