A lady with glasses told me to leave at 10:55 PM and the lady was being unprofessional and rude to me! I told her that it’s 10:55 and I still have time to scan my items and she said in a very rude/bossy tone “No, you should of scanned all your items already, I need to clock out!” Like what??? Maybe do your job?? As a tourist from Canada I truly did not appreciate the attitude, in canada they definitely would have let me finish my purchase… she didn’t know I was a tourist though so I really don’t understand the hostility. I didn’t have that many items and we have many self checkouts in Canada so it wouldn’t of taken me long to scan everything. Kroger lost money and a customer for their employee being rude, disrespectful and snappy. It was my first time going to Kroger and I will NEVER go back. I cried on the way out because of how rude and mean the girl was. I didnt do anything to her and she was so mean. I had to call my partner to explain the situation while crying and luckily they were understanding but I had to go home with no food all night!!! Honestly glad I didnt purchase anything because the prices were so high for mediocre quality food and products, they almost force you to sign up for their loyalty program to get the “coupons”. Walmart is definitely a better option and I’ve never had an experience like this one there. Not to mention almost all the eggs were broken and a different, very kind employee went in the back to grab me some that weren’t broken but it didn’t matter because they didn’t let me buy them anyways!!!! Very frustrating. If I could add negative 10 stars I would! I wasted my time and money getting there when I could have went somewhere else and actually gotten my items.

I have been shopping at this Kroger for 8 years but lately Kristen this Kroger associate closed the registers on me at 10:55pm. I was in severe pain and she is smirking while asking me to leave store. It is unjust for a store manager to do this to a paying customer. I am utterly humiliated and disgusted by her actions. She doesn’t deserve to work with people. She has no customer service skills, highly rude, and unprofessional. I’ve attached a picture of her while she was smiling and kicking me out of the store. I am leaving this review to give awareness to the community.

Contrary to what’s listed on Google search results AND on the Kroger website(see image), this store does NOT always close at 1am. I have observed this on several occasions (along with others who have posted feedback). This is bad. Consumers are really wasting a trip at night when this store is closed prematurely. There is no signage outside the store to indicate their “variable” hours(see image). It’s doubtful that the store is even closing properly. Just after midnight I observed that the doors were locked and there were dozens of carts still in the parking lot (see image). Given its location, I’m sure many of these carts ended up in the far reaches of the county or state by sunrise….at a cost. Abandoned carts, variable store hours, missing signage are all signs of sub-par management or assistant management. {I also wonder if they pay a security guard to stay around until 1am on days when the store closes at midnight}. Yikes.

Typical Kroger with its mixed quality of offerings & service. But this one has recently become a big problem in regard to its hours of operation. Just a few months ago, it stayed open until midnight but then the hours changed without warning, closing now supposedly at 11 p.m. But not really. I went over to Kroger after exercising at L.A. Fitness. I left the gym just after 10:40 and drove the very short distance to Kroger to buy some salad dressing on my way home. I walked up to the door to enter the store at no later than 10:45. The door was locked with a security guard in his police uniform holding the fort as if under siege. He refused to let people in or out. When he finally allowed a group of customers out after many had been standing backed up at the door for some time, I attempted to enter only to be forcibly blocked by this guard. He said, "The store is closed!" I pointed out that their posted hours of operation states that the store closes at 11 p.m. He just kept blocking my way as he repeated, "The store is closed." The more I objected, the more forceful & unreasonable he became. Then he ordered me off of the premises saying that I was trespassing even though the store invites the public onto their property within the posted hours of operation. I then drove across the street to Target with the same closing time. I entered the store, located the salad dressing, checked out and was back in my car all before 11 o'clock. Apparently, the employees wanted at Kroger wanted to go home early and so unilaterally moved up the closing time at least 15 minutes early regardless of what the hours of operation were posted for the public to make their decisions in accordance with. If I had known that Kroger actually closed at 10:30 or 10:45, then I could have simply bought the salad dressing before I exercised. But because the employees furtively changed the closing time, in practice, in order to go home early, my ability to plan my purchase was thrown awry plus having to face down a belligerent security guard who was on a power trip not even allowing the customers inside to leave promptly, much less allow customers to enter the store before closing time. Wow!!! What arrogance!
