It’s honestly frustrating — the seasoning is completely off, and it looks and tastes like it was cooked in old oil. I’m taking a long break from this place. There’s no sauce on them.” He just stared at me for a moment and then said he’d go ask the cooks. A few minutes later, he came back to tell us that those sauces “weren’t made yet.” This was at 6pm on a Friday night—peak dining time—and somehow the kitchen wasn’t ready with any of the featured sauces? No one warned us when we ordered, and we were just served plain oysters as if we wouldn’t notice. That’s incredibly disappointing and honestly feels like a lack of respect for the customer. We were offered a refund only if we returned the oysters, which made it feel like the burden was on us even though the restaurant dropped the ball. Overall, there was no real apology, no effort to make it right, and certainly no hospitality.
