I go to La rumba on Thursdays. I went for my first Saturday last night. Not only was I charged 38$ for he tables on the ledge that are free. They had ropes and reserved signs everywhere. I have never seen this nor been treated like this ever at La rumba. The lady taking my payment took 30 minutes to use google translate that ruined the fun vibe for me. We left after 10 minutes and paid 38$ for a table that was roped off. Will not come back on a Saturday the vibe was awful. As a true Latin dancer from Miami, y’all should be ashamed of how you run Saturdays. A group of 2 girls come in for free, we want to see the over head of dance floor and you hold us hostage not enjoying our time for 38$ for 10 minutes? Shame on you. This establishment has turned into a cash pig and not a true Latin dance studio for locals. Do not go here on Saturdays. Will not be back. Terrible. Awful vibes.

Best night out I've had in a long time! The Saturday beginner salsa lesson and instructors were perfect for someone with no prior experience. The patrons were so friendly to help practice on the dance floor after. Reasonably priced drinks too. SO MUCH FUN! 5 Stars.

I have performed at, facilitated workshops at and have also just come to dance at La Rumba and have always enjoyed myself. Parking is all side street but oddly I never have trouble finding a spot. The layout is so expansive, whether you're here to dance or be a gossip hen or a wallflower, there's a room for you. The comfiest, most plush seating scattered in every room. Very spacious. Ample, clean bathrooms. And major plus is it's community building atmosphere. You can feel it in the energy of the space for sure.

0 stars for the 5/17 and 5/23 cashier, otherwise 5 stars. La Rumba has a great vibe and the Club has been a great place to have fun dancing. The staff has always been welcoming and helpful and the place resembles a community. Last Saturday I came early and expected to pay $15, based on the information that was posted online, but the person taking the money that evening charged me $20 and only shrugged her shoulders when I asked and said something about attending the dance class while running my credit card for $20. I was going to let it go until the next person was charged only $15, which upset me and I asked for my money back, which she refused to do. Talking to Veronica, the manager, she mentioned that she just addressed all the wrong information posted online with her web person and she refunded me the charge to the card without hesitation and a big smile. She was so pleasant and I thought all was good until yesterday. Yesterday, I went to LaRumba and on my way out, I asked the same cashier what the pricing would be for the following night, she told me she didn’t know and I just said, “oh, you only work here, right?” since as a cashier she should know the pricing. I went to the bar instead and was told that it would be $10 for admission and $15 with class, which by the way is still different from the information online. On my way out that cashier told me that I am the rudest person as I was walking by and then all of a sudden started yelling at me, getting off her chair and then following me to the door, screaming after me “not to show my face again,” telling me, that she would be working tomorrow and that “I am not welcome” and she would make sure “I would not be allowed to enter the Club.”I was so shocked by her outburst so I just kept walking. This was so disturbing and in any other situation, she would have been fired on the spot, but none of the security guards around seemed to have noticed her tantrum, maybe because the music was so it loud? However, the security guard right outside the door was so confused by her screaming, he came up to me and asked me what was going on. After I explained he didn’t know what to do and just walked away. I only wonder if I would have been able to get away with such a hostile outburst without security being all over me? Also, it is puzzling that the person’s perception of me “being the rudest person”, because I was upset being overcharged and I dared to ask a question, would warrant such a hostile reaction? I love going to LaRumba, but I am definitely not going back to LaRumba on a Saturday, since I don’t want to expose myself to further hostility at a place I am hoping to relax and have fun dancing and I cannot be sure if this kind of behavior from employees is tolerated or not. I left a message for a call back on the general manager’s line last night and I followed up with an email last night, but did not hear back anything, so my only recourse at this point is to post this and maybe I hear back from someone to figure out how to avoid dealing with this person in the future.
