For those who love the water, this may be the coolest stretch of navigable River in Texas. Some amazing features and landmarks include the iconic 360 Loop River Bridge, 200' sheer cliffs right off the river, Michael Dells posh riverfront mansion, and many riverfront restaurants that have their own docks! This stretch of River also has a few little coves that are great places to drop anchor and go swimming in a no wake area. Just keep in mind , most shoreline is private property so it's not recommended to go ashore. If you want to kneeboard or wakeboard, the conditions on this River CAN BE absolutely perfect. However, the only way you will experience this glassy condition is to get on the water BEFORE DAWN. Just don't pull anyone behind boat before sunrise. It's illegal. Finally, the farther upstream you travel, the colder the water! When you're in sight of the big dam, even in hot summer, water is as low as 70*F.

From what I could tell from the directions, it takes you towards the river, winds you through an uppity neighborhood, only to end up at a private property gate and still a half mile from the water. no trespassing to a part of the RIVER not a lake really at all.
