After walking the trail and staring at the lake, I decided to finally get on it! It is such a lovely, peaceful day. The lake is so serene. The lake is quiet and not busy at all. You can bring your own, but I rented mine. The staff is very nice and welcoming. Come one come all - friends or family.

Used to be $8 now it’s $11 for the permit. Honestly. The bass better be biting for that price and the lake could be stocked more than it is. They don’t stock with trout anymore so say goodbye to the really big bass. Seems like concession isn’t open like they used to be but it’s still a fun spot if you do end up catching. I’ve caught many fish but lately doesn’t seem like there’s as much bass in the lake. A lot of trash lately too on the banks so if our money isn’t going to keeping it clean and stocked then what’s the money going to? I shouldn’t be walking through fishing line every 100 feet.

Great park with lots of picnic benches, grill facilities and bathrooms. Always kept very clean and well maintained. Launch ramp doesn't get too backed up even on weekends and the lake is stocked with trout. The lake does have an issue with the invasive quag mussels so there is no swimming in the lake but it's still great for fishing, boating and kayaks :)
