I joined 2 years ago at the change of ownership from Alan to new owners who seemed to be a little in over their heads. While I previously wouldn't have recommended this boat club; the NEW owners (who bought it at the beginning of Spring 2022)Lucy and Miguel have already really turned the club around! This is a great boat club on Lake Travis. So far it's been a stress-free and cost-effective alternative to owning a boat (marina slips on Lake Travis start at $400 a month and there is an average 3 year wait to get one). The new owners and staff are very friendly and communicative and have added pristine new boats to the fleet! The marina is beautiful and quiet, but conveniently located right across from Devil's Cove (won't waste gas). You'll have access to the park which has gorgeous views and great viewing of all the fireworks put on by Starnes Island July 3rd) and private homeowners like Houston’s very own Mattress Mac July 4th). Check out the fire pit overlooking the sunset on the lake! There always seems to be availability for boats outside of the occasional Saturday afternoon or holiday; and go out every week or two. We boat most of the year from March-November because Texas stays warm enough year round that they don't have to winterize their boats.
