Landmark was a nightmare to work with in planning our wedding. They promise a lot upfront and after you book, communication drops. You have to be persistent to hear back from someone and when you do, they're not clear with the answers. We ended up having questions unanswered still on the day of (like if they would have high chairs for our very young guests). We went through 4 changes in venue coordinator for our wedding, and was assured each time that they would be the person on the day of our wedding. They add your Cort rental order (no choice to choose differently) under their contract so you pay a second round of production/labor fees and taxes to them. They also got our rental order incorrectly in the end. Every time I read our BEO, I would find errors and sometimes these errors went backwards in time, probably because we were always talking to someone different. During our wedding planning, each visit we made to Hideaway Cellars we met a different coordinator. They're a mess and was the most stressful part of planning our wedding, only made up for by an otherwise amazing vendor team. UPDATE: Landmark was receptive to our feedback and was fair in their effort to right their mistakes. Although it did not change how things fell through on our wedding day, I appreciate their willingness to work something out with me.

This made the entire planning process incredibly convenient and stress-free. We didn't have to worry about coordinating with multiple vendors or managing different aspects of the event separately. Everything we needed was right there, under one roof, which allowed us to focus on what truly mattered - celebrating our day with our friends and family. The staff were an absolute blast to work with. From our initial inquiry to the last call on the night of the wedding, they were there for us every step of the way. Sarah, in particular, deserves special recognition for her communication and planning skills. She was dedicated to ensuring that our day turned out absolutely perfect. She listened to our vision, offered invaluable advice, and went above and beyond to make sure that every detail was taken care of. Her professionalism made us feel completely at ease, knowing that we were in the best possible hands. The Ruins was the perfect choice for our wedding venue. Their communication style was fast, helpful and thorough, which made the planning process a breeze. The quality of their work and overall value was whimsical, beautiful and incredibly convenient. We loved the fact that the Ruins is an all-in-one experience with the venue, food and drinks all included. The event staff were incredible before, during and after our event, and we had so many guests come up to us both during and after the wedding gushing about how beautiful the space was and how delicious the food is - especially the braised beef with chimichurri sauce. I would highly recommend this magical venue to anyone looking for an unforgettable wedding experience. Kate was such an amazing and knowledgeable event staff member that helped us plan the wedding of our dreams!

Landmark really showed that they cared about my feedback and I am hopeful to work with them on events in the future. ---- I hosted an event at Sodo Park, which is a beautiful venue. However, this review is for the venue management and catering side of their business. While the people I worked with were lovely, there were significant issues with communication and follow-through. It took too long to be introduced to my venue contact, who was helpful, but there was no support when they were out of office. I had critical questions about finalizing the BEO (Banquet Event Order) that went unanswered. Instead, I received the finalized BEO without clarification and was told I had to pay immediately or risk my event being canceled—this was just 48 hours before the event. There was no accountability for the BEO being late and incorrect, and the message came from someone new to the company who I hadn’t met before. On the day of the event, my on-site contacts were kind but clearly not given key details about my event. For example, they didn’t know where my linens were. It turned out the linens had been delivered to another location, and while they fixed it quickly, it added unnecessary stress. Regarding the catering, the food was well-received by guests, but there was confusion around the desserts. Some were missing, and when I inquired twice with the day-of staff, they couldn’t provide an answer. Post-event, I was told the desserts “must have arrived later than the others,” but this should have been communicated to me on the day, especially after I asked multiple times. Their open bar setup is another area of confusion. It doesn’t operate on consumption or a tab system; instead, I was quoted and billed a flat fee, that I had assumed was a tab ceiling but was told this wasn't the case. My questions about this were met with confusion, and no one ensured we were on the same page for what this amount actually represented. I’ve hosted many events and understand that minor mishaps happen—normally, I wouldn’t write a review over them. However, the lack of organization, accountability, and communication throughout this process compelled me to share my experience. Overall, I liked most of the people I worked with, but the disorganization caused a lot of frustration.
