8 screens 1,363 seats Opened by Interstate Enterprises on December 11, 1987. The Hoyt’s Midtown 8 was the first multiplex cinema built in the midtown Atlanta area. When Landmark took over the lease in 2003 they remodeled and upgraded the cinema into one of Atlanta’s premier venues for foreign and independent films. Metatron: You people. If there isn't a movie about it, it's not worth knowing, is it?

The people who work here are lovely. I’ve been here twice. The first time was to see Wicked and it was a good experience. However, my friends and I just tried to see Freakier Friday (different theatre) and unfortunately had to leave before it even started. The theater was so musty and dirty and the seats were damp. Do not go here if you have dust or mold allergies. It’s really unsafe.

I’ll give credit to the employees who work here because they had great customer service. But this place is a legitimate health hazard. We paid $15 per ticket to see Freakier Friday and were put in the most disgusting theater I have ever been to. The air was literally damp and mildewy when we walked in. The seats were moist and rusted. The walls had random panels of wood covering exposed patches of drywall. We were trying to be good sports and make a joke out of it, but freaked out when we looked up and saw the ceiling. Didn’t even make it through the previews. What’s really concerning is that after we left the theater, we had headaches and were coughing for the next hour. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if we were exposed to black mold and would not under ANY circumstance recommend this theater.

Very affordable theater. It is older but gets the job done. There is paid parking but you get 2 hrs free. It is better to wait until you get into the theater to scan their free parking code at the concessions. You don't realize that in advance. It wasn't as fold as some theaters. While other theaters were full to capacity this one was not. Hardly anyone there which made it easy to get goid seats. Popcorn and drink prices were pretty usual. Good location near Trader Joe's and restaurants.

I love this movie theater. It’s old and carpeted and so very nostalgic. They do validate parking, so make sure you don’t submit payment before you go in. I got a pretzel with cheese and it was great, but know that it seems like they have to microwave the pretzels in the back, so it might not be an ideal snack if they’re super busy. Idk- I think everyone should patronize this amazing establishment and keep them in business forever.
