I stumbled upon Life on Mars by chance while heading to another bar and decided to make a quick detour after discovering they’re a vinyl bar—definitely a vibe that caught my attention. I’m glad I did, because my impromptu visit turned out to be a pleasant surprise! The atmosphere was a little stiff at first, especially with the staff, but they definitely warmed up as the night went on. The drinks were surprisingly strong and pretty tasty, so I was impressed with that! I didn’t try the food, so I can’t speak to that, but the vibe was solid and I had a great time hanging out there. Also, while I didn’t pick any music myself, I was really enjoying the tracks being played. The selection, chosen by other customers, included everything from indie rock and hip-hop to R&B, along with a few other notable genres. It really enhanced the overall experience.

We went here for brunch, and had a great time! The food is all plant based which was delicious, and they had a great drink menu. They have a large selection of records for their guests to choose from, and will play during the meal. We can't wait to come back

Was recommended this place from a friend, ordered a drink, large cauliflower wings, and fries. The cauliflower was HUGE, literally ate them for 3 meals I got so many; unfortunately they were barely warm. They were much better when I took them home and air fried them, bleu cheese was good. The Amarillo was probably amazing, if you like bitters, I definitely had to chug it because it was not my flavor profile. Spent $55 after tip and tax. Will give this place one more chance, the atmosphere was dope, loved the records all over the place. 6.3/10 so far

I have had vegan burritos at several different places and this one was really disappointing for the price. I ordered the LOM breakfast burrito for take out and it was made so poorly. The ingredients were not layered properly so you are eating one ingredient at a time. First you eat a layer of crumbles, then just egg, then beans and then plain rice. Also, over half the burrito is just plain rice. Would not recommend

We come here all the time — LoM is one of our favorite spots in Seattle. We’re vegan and don’t drink (I get the irony since LoM is also a cocktail bar). Some of the best vegan casual-leaning food, and easily the best mocktails in the city. We mainly go for the brunch. I think LoM is the only place that serves Yo Egg. They come “poached” or “sunny side up” and actually run like an egg when you pierce the yolk. So good. It’s hard coming here and not ordering something that includes a Yo Egg. I’m partial to “Benny & The Jets” and the “Florentine & The Machine” — probably more the latter, since it includes an English muffin. LoM was the debut place for Pathfinder, an NA amaro. My regulars are Pathfinder Spritz and Pathfinder Negroni, and will always try whatever new mocktails are on the menu — they are real mocktails, not smoothies, and made with the care of a true mixologist. I’m not a vinyl person, but LoM’s collection is pretty epic. You can browse what they got, pay to play something (I think it’s part of some type of membership), and most (all? some?) of what they have is available to buy. In general we’re not restaurant people, and usually eat at home. We tend to be disappointed with vegan restaurants and more generally vegan food, particularly in Seattle. In the last 12 months, though, we’ve been to LoM four times, and that says a LOT coming from us, particularly since at least one of us has been out of town for probably half that time. If you’re local, if you’re vegan and visiting in the area, or if you’re into mocktails, three words: You Gotta Go.
