I went with my kids (17 and 10) to see War of the Worlds. We were all super impressed with the production! It was fun to be that close to the stage and actors. My kids enjoyed all the shout outs to towns around Chicago (the aliens invade Chicago). The team made imaginative decisions on how to use their limited space in the theater. Tickets were reasonably priced.

Wonderful place for children and ya introduction to theater. Intimate small theater gets you up close to the action. Mostly plays adapted from beloved children’s books. Actors come out to meet children after play is over. Took my 3 children and others as they were growing up. Now adults those former children are bringing their children. A wonderful place doing good work.

Always a great experience- the intimate space makes you feel like you're part of the action. In addition to great actors and fun scripts, the set design and lighting for their shows are always nonpareil. Highly recommended.

Absolutely wonderful theatre with stellar performances. My favorite experience was watching an immensely delightful rendition of Dorothy L. Sayers’ novel, Whose Body? in 2019 at Lifeline. The effect of observing Sayers’ characters in person as they solved a mystery was the catalyst I needed to more deeply reinterpret the story. Most entertaining!

I can hardly wait to attend a full performance. My first and only visit was a peak into "The Man Who Was Thursday" on Jan. 20. We were treated to one act, then discussions with Bilal Dardai (who adapted Chesterton's novel), Jess Hutchinson (director), and the cast. Everyone was professional, friendly, delightful. FYI Sataff are aware the ramp into the building is a bit slick. If the the theater is chilly, blankets are provided!
