This is a fairly new green belt that has mulched walkways throughout the property You can see the paths from Google Earth and pick your path when I was walking the park multiple times I never came across another person ... Lots of indicators that there's a family of deer back there, and the entrance to this green belt is a little kiosk which will have a map of the trails and also at the entrance you can pick your own walking stick, unfortunately the best one was epsconded ... đź‘Ť

Heavily wooded, barely developed, there’s hardly even a trail. The trails that do exist are very primitive and have lots of litter. On the plus side I appreciate such a large tract of land being left wild. On the negative side it felt pretty eerie and sketchy. Nobody else is really out on the trails and there are definitely some encampments deep in the brush. Didn’t personally run into anyone though. Cool place to explore, use caution

Pros: I'm glad to see a patch of nature preserved in an area otherwise dominated by highway 183. I'm sure this park is great for wildlife especially. No crowds unlike many other Austin parks- I never saw one person there. Found some nice fossils. Cons: Only one trail is listed on Google Maps, even though there are several branches running throughout the park. I was afraid to take any of them. Can feel a little uneasy hiking there alone. It would be helpful at least to have labeled trails/a map, both at the park itself and on Google Maps. It's just big enough of a park that one could get lost in there. Paying attention to which way the highway sound comes from does help you navigate though. If there is a trail that leads down to the creek, I'd love to know.

It's a little ghetto. Garbage everywhere. Didn't see a single person until getting to the end and turning around, which made it feel unsafe even with a dog. You can hear the highway the entire way. Saw a coyote or two. It works if ya have to, but there are better places.
