I had my son play in the San Antonio area. Everything about this club has been a disaster. They straight up don’t care after they get your money. I made the grave mistake of paying in full for the year. Absolutely NO communication with administration. The team my son plays on is full of kids who don’t wanna play or get better. We literally lose 8+ to 0 unless they bring in kids from higher level teams. And while my son isn’t the best, he wants to be there and he wants to get better. But the environment doesn’t allow for that. They can’t even get the ball out of the back, so as a forward, my son hardly even gets the ball in a game. We left SA City for this club and it was a huge mistake. My son actually plays worse now and he has lost his love for the game. For the first time, he said he doesn’t want to play soccer anymore and doesn’t even want to go to practice. This was a recreational level of soccer AT BEST. WAY overpriced, we paid $1000 more than our last club, and we expected better. DO NOT JOIN THIS CLUB! It’s the absolute worst experience and you will regret it. I had to make a Google review because they just won’t respond to me. I want to pull my son and get a refund, because he hates playing for this club now. Clearly the other Google reviews are sharing the same frustrations. Take your kid to another club, because this isn’t the one. They’re not even embarrassed with providing such poor service and communication. What a disgrace. 👎🏼

Would not recommend this club in San Antonio unfortunately. Our experience was awful. We received mediocre training for our kid, and I am being kind when I say that. The training we received certainly did not match the money we were shelling out for club fees, travel fees, and coaches fees. Parents had to be responsible for bringing canopies and seating for the kids or they went without during games as the club does not provide those things for them like they said they do. We were sold on broken promises. Our coach as well team mom were unpleasant to deal with. We played against teams that were well over our level and players were blamed for the losses. Some players were clearly a favorite while others were pushed to the side. Players removed from their position without anything being discussed before doing it or asked how they felt about it. Our coach made it very clear that they were not there to develope the player. Lonestar does not have your child’s best interest unless you are good enough to make the SAFC academy team. When you bring it to the attention of management they do nothing to correct the behaviors as to each their own team. We will not be back and recommend looking for a club that will give you the commitment and developement for your child, that you pay for.

This soccer club is just barely ok for very young children, it is lightly structured allowing coaches to do most of the work. The referees offered need some help and the varying rule sets provide some frustration. Parking situations at the playing fields are difficult at best most games. By far my biggest complaint about Lonestar soccer though is the decision to allow boys to play in my daughter's soccer league. I thought fairness in competition is a pretty standard part of founding a league. I also lost faith that this organization has any child's best interest at heart after watching a boy repeatedly play in a girls league.

I am giving them 3 -stars because of lack of communication. If you have any sort of question, don't expect an answer either ever, or for a very long time. My son participated in the first 2 practices of the fall season which were taking place on extremely hot days, where some kids had heat stroke and others were dragging on in the hot sun. He also got a soccer ball hit in his face and expressed he didn't want to go back. Based on this experience I reached out to some coaches in charge with no email response. I emailed, called, tried via personal text in which I got very slow responses that wouldn't give me any definitive updates on the status of my request. After 10 days and a lot of perseverance and calling and being passed on to various people I finally reached a decision maker that promptly refunded me the amount.

I wanted to get some information on signing up my son, but they don't respond to the phone calls, nor emails, even the Facebook page only responded with a one liner message asking which location I was interested in, I responded and haven't heard back. This is very disappointing, if I have to chase you down to get my business 🤔🙄
