Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. The facilities are clean and well cared for. It really was a home away from home, and well-situated near a grocery store, and if your child is up to it, some of the sights of L.A. A lot of the evening meals were donated, and there were activities for the kids. It took an enormous amount of stress off to be there, and we are so grateful to the LARMH.

Staying here for me was very much an unplanned event. I never saw myself as someone benefitting from such a place, but when circumstances aligned and this place came through it gave me the ability to be close to my daughter. The meals of love really helped through a time of hardship. Very grateful to be able to stay here.

This is an amazing charity. We felt welcome from beginning to end during our stay for our son's surgery. We met people going through similar experience, volunteers made us dinners and held special events. It really made a tough experience more bearable.

You can't really say anything bad about this place - you get a basically free room (suggested $25 daily donation), free food and stuff for your kids to do while in the hospital. We were in UCLA for our daughter. While the room was messy and smelled bad - it's not like your staying in a resort. Appreciate all the hard work by the folks who volunteer here!

I guess it's the thought that counts, but I noticed that the San Diego facility seems to have more staff, and MUCH more volunteers. They have something going on for EVERY meal, and lunch and dinner is almost always hosted by an outside foundation looking to do good. So I don't know if S.D has more philanthropist than L.A, or maybe or maybe just better management? What I do know is that S.D RMDH was a better place for me to be when my son was sick.
