First time at this park and it’s pretty great. Looks like there’s a little cafe or restaurant that opens during the summer evenings. It has a really fun playground that my three year old LOVED. And tons of trees plus a beautiful soft sand beach. It’s also pretty quiet. I saw lots of people quietly reading, grilling or just relaxing. My friend got married here and it was so nice. Definitely recommend.

It’s a great park to relax during the weekend! The beach is always clean too and it’s perfect for walks and riding your bike in the afternoon. There’s a small lighthouse, bathrooms, beautiful scenery, grassy areas for setting up your tent or barbecue, and parking. I think they even played Puss In Boots in the park one evening. Lol, it’s a calm, peaceful place to enjoy the outdoors. 😍

Only place I've found while visiting Chicago to enjoy cold water swimming. We arrived for sunrise and it was gorgeous to see the sun rising over Lake Michigan. The ice build up and ice ice cycles were breathtaking. Can't wait to visit again. Large parking lot was nextt to basketball courts.

My favorite beach since college days. Basic bathhouse with cold shower outside. Sometimes there is food available, and always paleta (ice cream) carts roaming. Fun for anybody! Families, groups, couples.
