This is an edit to a previously 1 star review: I went in this morning, because within 24hrs of being at the salon getting a brand new set one of the nails had already fallen off. At this point I was already feeling irritated. Walking in I was greeted super friendly and helpful I didn’t catch her name though wish I had. The manager took me in and instantly reassured me that he would make things right and made me feel understood of what I wanted. Manager is super cool and I love that he actually paid attention to the detail even corrected something that I wouldn’t even have noticed. I can honestly say that I left feeling way better and with a smile on my face. (The pink nails is what I originally left the salon with and the French is the set along with the original inspo pic) Not quite sure how I feel about this. I recently moved to south Austin and looking for my new nail spot. Saw the really good reviews and noticed that the nail art was really good so I decided to give them a shot, because what I wanted was so simple compared to these pictures. staff was i suppose friendly kind of kept to themselves.. I went in wanting a soft milky French gel builder set.. it’s definitely trust the process with them, started off looking like duck nails which had me a bit nervous but then got better. When it came down to trying to achieve the look I wanted I will say the tech tried her best but I ended up walking out with just a basic full nail one color set which really has me disappointed. I like to go get my nails done to feel relaxed and decompress and I came out feeling ugh… won’t be returning but staff is nice.

I loved everything about this nail salon. I was warmly greeted when I walked in and was placed in a chair for my pedicure within a minute. The music choice was contemporary and catchy. The commentary drink (sangria) was done well and presented beautifully. My nails were a little beat up from a visit to a different salon, but Sam did a wonderful job fixing my nails and was pleasant to chat with. I will most definitely be returning for my next visit.

I made an appt in advance, showed up on time, & proceeded to wait for 20-25 mins for a nail tech (despite a man coming in after me who did not have an appt getting helped before me). Then, on top of the wait, I had a rough experience with my nail tech, Julie. She didn’t clear up my cuticles or clean up the skin around the nail at all; but what was much worse was she cut my toe nail down so far that it was past the nail line, making my toe bleed. This already hurt as it was; but then at the end, she tried to file the already too short nail down even more, causing me to jump & screech in pain! 🤦🏻♀️ I don’t know WHY someone would do that. I saw she sometimes wore super thick glasses & other times took them off…maybe she couldn’t see? Either way, I left with a bloody toe & in pain. And on top of that, she didn’t even try to file the other toenails that all ended up very square, which looks terrible & unnatural. I’m only giving 2 vs 1 star because the staff was friendly. If I go back, I will definitely be expecting to not have to wait so long for an appt & also will certainly ask for someone OTHER than Julie. Pics below are right after pedicure and then another couple after a few weeks to show how square she left my toenails and also to show that the gel pedicure didn’t last like it should. In the past, gel pedis would last me at least 2 months.

I really hate to post a bad review, but it really sucks to pay + tip for a service that 1) hurt 2) was objectively bad. My nail technician went absolutely crazy with the e-file, on my natural nails. They feel so thin now, even with the new gel on. They snagged my nail bed several times while filing, cutting into my nail and hurting me. The length of my nails was cut extremely down, and my nails don't even match lengths on the same hand, let alone match on both sides. The polish was also not applied evenly. I didn't ask to get them fixed, since my nail beds were already hurting. I'm really so irritated to have to completely start over on my nails, since they are so thin now. The pink photo is what I came in with 😞 they were so healthy 🥺🥺 2 stars because the salon was clean and nice, and staff was friendly.

I’ve never had issues with Kim’s nails before, they used to be my go to nail shop. I stopped going last yr bc they were too rough with my manis but decided to give them another try and just get a pedi. My most recent visit left the bottom of my feet like this. The pedicure was way too rough. This is the result of being too rough with the foot file (the thing that looks like a cheese grater) I’ve never had something like this happen to me before :( my foot is in pain and I’m extremely disappointed. Update: I went to the salon today 6/11 around noon, to discuss with management and they were unable to do anything except provide a $10-$15 gift card (not even for the full price of service) and if i accepted the gift card I would have to sign an NDA to not pursue this issue further. He said “put yourself in my shoes” when I’m the one who’s foot is inured and still hasn’t healed (possible infection) going to the doctor today bc the wound is still painful and bleeding. I’ll never be returning. It’s not worth the risk.
