It is a piece of living history. Unlike a 5 & Diner that pretends it from the 50s, this place is history that you can taste, touch, smell and interact with. You want grease in a bag, or over priced iced coffee you will find those a mile down the road. This isn't some mega corp owned franchise, this is a family ran business. Means you know who your hard earned dollar is helping, a family and not some stock holder. You will find a history lesson your children actually will enjoy. A setting where memories are made, and for some memories get rediscovered. My recommendation? Cheeseburger, fries, with a root beer float to chase away the Arizona heat.

First time ever visiting today and we absolutely loved it! We ordered a cheeseburger, pastrami on rye & egg salad sandwich as well as root beer floats. Root beer floats were dynamite...old fashioned, extra soda brought for each one, delicious! All the sandwiches were a hit as well; have to say I haven't had that good of an egg salad sandwich (on a croissant) in a very long time. The vibe was perfect. Relaxed and kind of felt like I was waiting for an old friend to show up type of place. Definitely worth checking out!!

Excellent experience! Food and service was on point- delicious, cooked to order, very tasty. Love, Love, love the vintage look and feel of the restaurant. Shakes were great and desserts deserved the awards! As an antique and vintage enthusiast, bonus points for the thrift shop attached to the restaurant. Absolutely will be back!

I had a really great first time here. I came for a milkshake to have a little cool experience in the Phoenix summer. My club sandwich and fries were great and so was the Cookie Jar milkshake. If I lived closer I would be here all the time. Parking is on the side and behind the building. There are also some antiques for sale in the attached store. I want to try the pie next time!
