Awesome !! We are from New Zealand and wanted to experience a full auto shoot. We had the choice of the three states (Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado) we were traveling through to do something like this - and immediately Machine Gun Tours stood out. Firstly, Alan was super helpful with all our emails and questions, and made it easy to arrange around our travels. The second thing was they offered something very cool, with the outdoor (versus indoor) shoot in Colorado. We were impressed again, when due to weather our flights were delayed …. no issue, Matt (our instructor for the day) kindly offered up alternatives and was able to accommodate us the next day. And finally, the actual shoot (we did the 5 machine guns). Awesome experience ! From the location which is great (compared to an indoor range), Matt our instructor – super nice guy, always answering our questions and made the experience seamless. We had zero experience with guns, and Matt made it very comfortable for us, and super enjoyable. We liked Matt’s knowledge of the guns and military. We let Alan and Matt choose the guns, and great choices of the well-known classics and the modern (we shot HK MP5-k, Daniel defense MK18, FN Scar 16, Thompson/Tommy Gun and AK-47) This was the highlight of our trip. I’ve just purchased my first AR-15 today from Machine Gun Tours. Let me just say I could not be more happy. Sadly I waited until a time when there is a “feeding frenzy” of firearms in our nation. I’m former military, and this purchase has been put off for far too long. That being said, I know the price on my Stag Arms rifle was not at all excessively marked up during these times. I would say that the shop is better stocked than any in our surrounding states. The choices were staggering. I spoke directly with the owner of the business and he was incredibly kind, patient, informative. In a busy environment, he literally answered every single question without hesitation or distraction. I’m sitting at home now researching the finer points of my purchase. Optics were already conveniently mounted on the rifle and I couldn’t find any reason not to purchase them with it. Now that I’ve done more research, I feel that they are the absolute best optics for this model. Great pairing! At the moment, some of the ammunition may be a little higher priced than some surrounding stores. I believe this is because there is no limit on the ammo, And as a result the ammo that has been purchased at a better competitive price is now long gone. Other places may be a little less expensive, but that’s because they place a limit and they have not gone through the stock they bought at a much lower price before things began to go up. It’s simple small business economics. Give it a few more days/weeks and the other places will be just about the same price. The parts inventory in this place is unbelievable! As I was browsing I took note. Later I talked with a friend of mine who is ALWAYS modifying his weapons, let him know what I was seeing, and he became very excited about what I told him was available here. He can’t find anything at all where he lives, so I’m sure he’ll be placing an order soon by phone or by email. I had conversations with at least four employees, each and every one of them very accommodating, knowledgeable, patient, and no unreasonable amount of ego could be detected.
