I came here for thr first time recently and we loved it. Had a great time and we were a pretty large group on a Saturday but we were able to find an area to sit/stand and play pool. The bartenders were all friendly and they also have fun jello shots. Cocktails and beer are fairly priced too! Fun watering hole in the neighborhood. Okay for just a bar. This is my bar. An eclectic group of people. It's a bar in the middle of a neighborhood. It has over the last few years become my home bar I guess you would say Of course video poker. But full bar. Some really good house drinks. A broad spectrum of people. The bar is based on the idea that we can all co-exist together with out any problems. Racism, homophobe, sexism whatever is there is it's just not allowed there period. This is my bar I go to when I'm in a good space, when I'm in a bad place when I want to be around people who sincerely care about me. A great home in the wall bar that the owner Liz has done and incredible job with a place I always feel safe. In the 3 years I been hanging out there never once ha e I seen a fight break out, ever.

FYI: They sell food right next door at the Annex (Hannex?) and you can bring it into the bar. There's such a good neighborhood vibe here. It's a great dive bar with a decent sized back patio space where you can bring your (well-behaved) dog. It has a pool table. Just good, chill vibes. Great spot to grab a drink with friends.

It knows what it is, and what it wants to be. Devoid of all pretentiousness, Mad Hanna is the sort of place where you also can come as you are, be who you want to be, without judgment, surrounded by like-minded, liquored up individuals seeking refuge from our collective weekday demons. In short, the kind of place I'd like to visit more often. Unlike most dives, you can get a fantastic, hand-crafted cocktail, that actually tastes like the drink you ordered, instead of the sort of watered-down, blasphemous amalgamation you'll find elsewhere. You can also just order a beer or a White Claw and get "White Girl Wasted" without feeling guilty. During our visit, there was a DJ spinning an eclectic mix of pseudo-country music that I am still struggling to put a label on; regardless, we enjoyed it. The usual offenders of pool tables and gambling machines occupy most of the inner space, although I feel like they could be cleared to create impromptu dance floor at the drop of a hat. There's also a semi-sequestered nook off to the right of the door, with comfy leather chairs and lit by twinkly lights, should you be in the mood(le) to canoodle. Dog friendly, open from 11am until 2:30am, 7 days a week. Food available from the Hannex café kitchen next door, seemingly at all hours of operation.
