I recently visited this park, and it’s truly a gem for the community. The park is well-maintained and offers a wide range of recreational facilities, including a baseball field, basketball courts, football fields, and even hockey fields. It’s a great spot for both organized sports and casual pick-up games. One of the best things about this park is how family-friendly it is. There are plenty of picnic areas, making it perfect for gatherings and birthday parties — I often see families setting up decorations and enjoying time together. The park also feels very safe. I’ve noticed people walking their dogs regularly, and it creates a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. There aren’t any issues with homelessness or safety concerns, which makes it easy to feel comfortable staying there for hours. The only downside is that the bathrooms could use some improvement. They aren’t very clean, which can be inconvenient when spending a lot of time at the park. If that were addressed, it would make the experience even better. Overall, it’s a well-rounded park with something for everyone — whether you’re into sports, walking, or just relaxing with friends and family. Highly recommend checking it out!

This urban park is a bit better than the average city park, with tree shaded picnic areas and space for groups to gather without all the crowding. There’s a recreation center, roller hockey rink, basketball courts, soccer field and a playground for the kids! Also there’s a large swimming pool, open during the late spring thru the fall of the year. It has expected amenities of a large public park including restrooms, trash containers and free parking. Lot parking is available just off the side streets, as well as along the streets as permitted.

My favorite place to play doubles with friends, there’s a tennis group every morning so anyone who wants to jump in, just be there between 7am and 10am and find Jerry, Richard, Frank or whoever there may be they’re hanging on the middle courts, just jump in for doubles and have fun

The park loves to kick skaters off the skate rink for no reason. They schedule “camps” and “practices” that don’t take place half the time in order to book up the schedule and make sure the public can’t use the rink. Workers are rude and often fail to give an explanation why we need to leave but insist we leave anyway. It’s clear the park does not want recreational skaters using this rink.

Wow. Floored by how unnecessarily rude the Parks&Rec department has been towards the roller skaters. Please explain to me how it makes sense to kick 20+ skaters off of the roller rink in order to accommodate a spring break camp using the rink to play soccer when there is a completely good and empty grassy field directly next to the rink available to use? And then when we inquire about sharing the rink they say no, they have a permit (with no proof) and that we can’t share the space as we are not fingerprinted (which we are)— a true slap in the face. These folks go out of their way to kick skaters off the rink just for the sake of disrupting our skate sessions and laying claim to the space, without logic, care or consideration for anyone but themselves. The camp schedule is not posted anywhere online by the way, or even mentioned on their website. Do better, and maybe hire people with better bedside manner if they are supposed to be public facing. “We have a permit and that’s it.” Absolute and utter arrogance all around.
