Wow. Decided I better check out a local donut shop and I am blown away! These donuts are incredible, warm, soft, perfectly glazed. The gentleman who helped me this morning was friendly and helpful as I wasn't sure what to get as I'd never been here before. Would give the food 6 stars if I could and the picture has none of the regular glazed cause they were too good I ate them too fast. They still fire! Updated with pic

I read the reviews (yes even the bad ones!) and decided to try this spot out. I called ahead to overcome the wait times many have complained about. Please keep in mind that this appears to be a mom and pop business and the food (including donuts) appears to be made to order. Upon arrival, I had to wait a bit, but customers were chatting, food was being made— and I waited patiently. The man working the cashier let me know my order would be coming out soon, so the communication was appreciated! My initial thought was, “I hope the food is worth the wait, because I need to get back to my desk.” That’s right, I took a small, early break to try this place around 9 a.m. Heads up, it’s busy around 8-9 lol… All I can say is that the food was AMAZING! I got it home and wasted no time. I tore into my turkey croissant sandwich and potatoes, washed it down with a Welch’s juice and followed that up with the doughy-est, crispiest glazed donut I’ve ever had 🥹. My only regret is getting two donuts. Now I see why everyone leaves with dozens! Recommendations for future patrons: (1) Call ahead. (2) Arrive 10-15 minutes after the stated time (3) Be patient and kind. (4) Order more than 2 donuts (5) Don’t forget to support your local businesses

The breakfast wraps are great but we drove about 25 minutes to get there today because we haven’t had it in a while. My wife’s hotlink breakfast was not good. The hot link was burnt and not edible. Not quite sure how you could see something like this and still serve it to your customers. We really want to support black businesses. We have to do better.

Marty’s donuts are fresh and made fresh every day he’s open from Tuesday to Saturday plus he sells more than donuts there’s cheeseburgers, fries and even breakfast burritos! He’s always selling out and some may thing it’s a bad thing but to me selling out must mean they are good. So that’s what got me reeled in… Finally I got a chance to get one and I’m hooked when I’m at work in the far NE part of Denver! The owner is pleasant, the place is clean and it’s very nice to walk in and be greeted with a good morning! So get you a Marty’s Donut!!!

Groups should be prepared for possible limited seating due to the shop’s smaller size and plan to arrive early or during off-peak times to secure a spot. The donut selection can sell out quickly, so if your group has favorites, arriving sooner rather than later helps guarantee availability. Since Marty's currently does not provide delivery services, the meetup requires all participants to be physically present, which works well for local groups but could be restrictive for others. Take advantage of the available seating to linger, chat, and enjoy the atmosphere rather than just grabbing food to go. Finally, embrace the local community vibe by encouraging friends to share stories or experiences related to Denver or the Montbello neighborhood, making the meetup more than just a casual food stop but a meaningful social occasion.
