This place is awesome, the food is fantastic. The Corned Beef Brisket dinner on Wednesdays is super tasty. Meatloaf on Thursday is like eating a home cooked meal. The Prime Rib on Fridays is super tender.

The food is tasty, the atmosphere is great. Great selection of drinks as well. The staff is usually pretty friendly. They’ve got pool tables and they show the games on there are many television screens. They have a patio and it’s in a very chill shopping center. As far as local bars go, this is one of the best in the area.

The staff is friendly and attentive, and the bartender Kristy is particularly helpful and easy on the eyes 👀 They have a dedicated space for private events in the back, and the overall atmosphere is clean and inviting. I love my neighborhood bar. Food is consistently good. My go to when I want a drink and good food after work. Thursday is meatloaf night and is super yummy! On Saturday I've had the prime ribs sandwich. And it was really good. So, decided to try Friday prime ribs night, what a disappointment. I ordered it rare with French fries. The prime ribs was a tasteless, fatty piece of leather. I had two bite and just ate the French fries with my cider. It would be $30 wasted except my goldendoodle and border collie are going to have a feast tonight!!! I originally rated service a 5 but my server's shift was over and I closed out with her and the new server never came back to see if I wanted another drink. She swung by on her way to the bar and grabbed my empty glass without stopping. I recommend trying to sit at the bar. Bartenders are always friendly and on top of everything!!

This is what a neighborhood bar should be like. Open interior, plenty of TVs with various sports, wide selection of drinks, quirky bartenders and just an over all homey vibe. Less than 5 minutes away from overpriced, overhyped places, McGregors is that place to meet after work, talk a little, laugh a lot, be comfortable and not end up with a 3 digit bar tab in the process. If you're not local, you should check it out, it's very San Diego local with out our pretentious act.
