These bartenders took the time to connect with us and help us to complete our Passport for Hawthorne Blvd. This pub is completely decked out in Grateful Dead Memorabilia and good vibes! There are a few pinball machines and a fabulous indoor/outdoor area! Come enjoy a brew or a bite of Pub food in this fun and well decorated area of Hawthorne with enough good energy to heal anything that Ails you! A nice McMenamins Hawthorne hide away - the Barley Mill is decorated to the max. It’s bigger than you think - 3 sections with one that opens a garage style door to outside during nice weather, a more traditional restaurant dining room, and an arcade section. They were short staffed on our most recent visit but service was still good, food even better. The menu is fairly limited compared to some of the bigger mcmenamins but the quality is great. The bathroom has a black light disco ball vibe going on - so don’t trip and go in there or you’ll never come out. Great decor with all sorts of fun stuff to look at.
