Cute and small speakeasy that has one bar and a rotating cocktail menu. They offer different types of fun drinks and change them every so often so they may be different depending on when you go. You can find the entrance via the red light with the bouncer at the door and proceed to this “basement” and Victorian vibe hallway speakeasy with eclectic furniture. It’s a fun space to go for a drink or two on a date or night out. I have enjoyed the drinks I’ve tried here. The bartenders have also been very friendly.

Melinda's Alley is definitely the place to visit for a chill Unique vibe on the weekends. Each bartender takes turns on the drink list; they change 4 out of their 5 main drinks every week. The one that stays the same is their old fashion, I've been told it's great. They only make like 100 of each drink to keep the uniqueness going each weekend. The drinks are of high quality; check it out sometime!

I have gone here a handful of times. The first time it was new and exciting and kind of mysterious. Now, I like to bring people here who have never heard or been to give them that fun first time experience. The lighting is very dim. The temperature is always cold, but a comfortable cold. Seating is kind of limited and you can feel awkward if your stuck standing waiting for a seat or couch to open up. Only 5 or so drinks in total to choose from, drink menu is very straight forward with options and pricing. Old Fashions are one of the drinks available and the mixologist put fresh fruit in everyone they make. Very chill, low key, kind of quite atmosphere. I only stay for a drink or two and then Im ready to go. Great place to start your night off at before going to the other busy and bigger bars in the area. Worth checking out at least once if you have never been!!!

I came here for my last hoorah before moving out of the country! The bartender was so amazing and really gave us a good experience. The drinks were so cool and interesting! $16-$20 for a drink can be pricey but as you walk in, it does give ✨expensive✨. But the drinks are very personalized and change every week! I do suggest to go with a smaller group because seating can get crowded or you may might find an area big enough. Overall, I really really enjoy this place and do suggest people to go here!

It was an okay place the way they have the bar/ drink line set up is weird tho and wish they can figure out a better system. Wish they stayed true to Google hours as well last call is basically around 12:30ish and we were told several times they close at 1:30am. First time going and for me was a try and done type of bar.

This layout fosters a sense of exclusivity without isolation, enabling groups to engage freely with each other and mingle with other patrons if desired. The lighting is deliberately kept low and moody, enhancing the speakeasy mystique, while the music selection sets a chill, upbeat tone that complements rather than overpowers conversation. Such a setting naturally encourages relaxed socializing, making it a great spot for catching up with friends or celebrating family occasions in a memorable way. The venue’s smaller size creates a welcoming atmosphere without becoming overcrowded, although visitors are advised to time their visits wisely, as capacity limits often apply during busy nights.

Despite having a somewhat limited drink selection — typically featuring about five mixed drinks and a notable Belgian beer — the quality and creativity of the cocktails remain high, appealing to both casual drinkers and cocktail aficionados. The venue’s social energy is amplified by the live DJ or curated music playlists that maintain a vibrant yet comfortable buzz of sound, perfect for background enjoyment or dancing if the mood strikes. Visitors appreciate that, although it is tucked away, the entry process is straightforward and well-signed once you know where to look. However, since the venue only operates three nights a week and has limited capacity, groups should plan ahead or arrive early to secure seating. What are some considerations or tips for groups planning to visit Melinda’s Alley?
Given its popularity and unique setting, there are a few practical tips groups should keep in mind to make the most of their visit to Melinda’s Alley. Since the bar only operates on select nights each week, checking the current schedule beforehand is essential to avoid disappointment. The limited drink menu means that groups with diverse tastes may want to manage expectations or embrace the cocktail specialties available, which often feature seasonal or unique creations made by rotating mixologists. Arriving early or making plans to visit on less busy nights can help ensure your group secures seating, as the cozy space tends to fill quickly due to limited capacity. Because the venue is underground and accessed through an alleyway, it may not be suitable for those with mobility challenges without advance accommodation. Lastly, although the intimate environment is great for groups, the venue is better suited to social cocktail hours rather than loud celebrations, so peaceful gatherings or small group chats work best. Planning around these factors will ensure your meetup at Melinda’s Alley is as enjoyable and smooth as possible.
