This farmers market located on the famous Melrose Place. in Los Angeles does not disappoint. They have fresh fruits and vegetables, a variety of breads and baked goods, flowers and honey and honey products. Some stands also have lots of nuts and mushrooms. If you are visiting we went on a Sunday and it was really hopping. A tad pricey, but it is Melrose Place. The street was flat and wheelchair accessible. There was a wheelchair accessible port of John as well. if you are tourist you may want to stock up on fruit and vegetables as well as breads that you can take with you to outings or parks. A great money saver. There were many people with their dogs, and it appears the great is a great place to people watch. I would suggest if you're bringing a dog to come early because it is on blacktop. Of course some people carry their dogs around on them or baby strollers. As a New Jersey guy not very used to that. But hey if you love your dog no shame there.

LA Marathon had me closed of to my destination so I turn onto La Cienega and what did I stumble into… Spring has the vegetables, citrus and fat strawberries. Had a coffee and pastries (must have been five bakeries and it was a chore to choose). Fabulous mushrooms, wow so good. Ok back to the strawberries, you can smell the scent from two yards away, I felt like part dog. They are in prime like they do three times a year. Love this time of year, nice farmers market and the vendors are so friendly kind and happy. Go there.

Food is fresh, well laid out Farmers' Market. Parking can be tight--thats the only downside. Says service dogs only, but people take their dogs--which has never been a problem. Family-friendly, fun!!!

So fun. Lots of great vendors and fairly large. Crowded, so bringing a dog probably not the best idea- plus it's black tar paved- so very hot.
