MDC offers a lot of courses and certificates, it’s really helpful to those wanting to to continue or broad their educational background more as myself. The negative comment I only can say is to a lady who answer my call at transcript evaluation team July 7, 2025 around 10am. I was so soft spoken askin a genuine question about if my appointment for the transcript of evaluation is an online or a in-person appointment, because on the email it did not say anything. And she was so sarcastic and very rude how she answered. And I did not breakdown immediately cus I was trying to really want to know. I want to study at MDC but she was continue being so so rude. So I shout her down I told her “I’m just asking a question, your don’t need to be (forgot the word but it was like rude) . And she was trying to be sarcastic and I just finished my call and hang her up. Cus she was still continuing being herself.

I don’t usually bother or leave a review but I feel like this is a real issue. My daughter has one class to take to graduate in December. She got approved to take this class August 1. We have been calling and emailing for three weeks trying to register for this class. Here we are on the day the class is to start and we are still not registered!!! I know people get busy but we have left probably 20 messages and emails with only two responses transferring us to a full voicemail!!! It’s ridiculous!!!

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but my experience with Miami Dade College (MDC) has been beyond disappointing. The level of disorganization and lack of accountability across departments is astonishing. Academic Issues: Professors not showing up to class and no one following up or taking responsibility is unacceptable. When a class doesn't meet, especially in short summer terms, it throws everything off — yet there’s no backup plan or communication to students. It feels like the bare minimum effort is being made to ensure education is actually happening. Administrative Nightmare: Trying to get help from Financial Aid or Advising is like being sent on a wild goose chase. You can wait on hold for over 30 minutes only to be transferred from department to department, with no one really knowing anything. Important, time-sensitive concerns are ignored or delayed, and there's no real system of follow-through. Communication Black Hole: Emails go unanswered. Deadlines are unclear. And when you finally reach someone, you’re either redirected or given conflicting information. This is not acceptable in any institution, let alone one that advertises itself as supportive and student-focused. Final Thoughts: This has been the worst college experience I’ve had — and that includes comparing it to other public institutions. The stress caused by MDC’s incompetence is completely avoidable and reflects a systemic issue of poor management and lack of accountability. If you value your time, education, and mental peace, do your research before enrolling. ( i have evidence to back this review up )
