Miami Rescue Mission is a longstanding nonprofit organization dedicated to serving homeless and vulnerable populations in the South Florida area. Founded in 1922, the mission operates around the clock, 365 days a year, providing immediate essentials such as food, clothing, shelter, and medical care. Beyond meeting these urgent needs, Miami Rescue Mission offers comprehensive recovery programs and educational services aimed at helping individuals transform their lives. Facilities include residential centers that cater to men and women, offering emergency shelter, long-term recovery programs, and transitional housing. The organization places a particular emphasis on inclusivity, extending programs to Spanish-speaking communities through Vida Cambiadas and fostering a supportive environment where clients, staff, and supporters collaborate. This overall is a good place for the community. They feed there homeless as well as kids in the neighborhood. Some of the staff there is lacking enthusiasm and though they claim to be a Christian foundation, some of their workers do not reflect those values with their energy and it takes away from the great things that they accomplish there when helping others.

I called they said I can check in the shelter and be there Monday morning at 5am. I used my last $2 to take the bus there from the beach, without any sleep I go there and wait until 5am and they told me it was a drug program and lasted for 1 year, I can't come and go, work etc. They should of told me this on the phone, they made a bad situation and horrible situation. I know this place does help alot of people and I give them credit for that but I wasted so much time and energy for nothing.

This place is a well-oiled machine. It runs very efficiently, and it takes care of the people that really need to eat food. Men's showers are M,W,F 3-5pm. Feedings are M,T,W,T,F 4-6pm . To live in this men's shelter you need to participate in the programming.
