Cool downstairs hall. Good bar service. Local area has food and drink available before doors. Parking is easy to find. There’s a garage nearby.

dropped my emo lesbian (and bisexual) roommates here because they’re in love or something. i think they had a great time! “it was great” - they said in unison not a sticky floor apparently. i don’t know anything else because i haven’t been inside. this is all secondhand info.

The Middle East downstairs is an awesome small venue in the heart of Cambridge. Most band who play here are smaller ones on the up and up and it feels like such a intimate place unlike other places like Mansfield or Fenway. When I went I saw Radio compass, The Weakened friends, and Piebald. The mixing at the middle is amazing and you can actually hear the vocals unlike at the house of blues. I definitely recommend going especially if it’s to support a smaller band that you like.

One of the last old school clubs in the area, still a great place for a show. Used to be a bowling alley way back in the day and they get a good variety of shows. If you've never been then make it a point to check it out.
