Why Mira Sushi is a fun option when searching for things to do near me with friends and family

Mira Sushi in Chicago offers a sushi dining experience that appeals to those seeking fresh seafood and a variety of menu choices. While the restaurant's ambiance is described as calm and suitable for casual meetups, it is often appreciated for the freshness of its fish and the variety of sushi rolls, including some distinctive options like the salmon-jalapeño with a Latin twist. It provides an all-you-can-eat lunch special that many patrons find to be good value, featuring favorites like softshell crab and tuna tartare. The service tends to be attentive and welcoming, contributing positively to the dining atmosphere. This makes Mira Sushi a viable spot for friends to gather over a meal, enjoy quality sushi options, and savor some unique roll combinations. However, Mira Sushi's portions have been noted as on the smaller side, and some patrons feel the pricing is a bit steep for the amount of food offered. While it may not be a destination restaurant for sushi connoisseurs looking for large portions or extravagant rolls, it remains a solid neighborhood choice for sushi aficionados who appreciate fresh ingredients and a relaxed setting.

Here's what people think of Mira Sushi

The all-you-can-eat lunch special receives positive mention for its variety, quality, and value, with staff seen as friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. Several reviewers recommend Mira Sushi for its affordable selection compared to other AYCE restaurants in the area. Had lunch here with my daughter, food and service were both fantastic! Kevin was a great server. Great sushi, surprisingly reasonably priced for the portion size. Looking forward to being back.

This place was probably by far the worst service I have ever experienced. After arriving and being greeted by a “Please Wait to Be Seated”sign, none of the workers acknowledged us for about 5 minutes. There wasn’t a dedicated host or workers assigned to specific tables. There is a 2 hour time limit but be prepared to get everything on your order submitted the first time and have no plans afterwards. I was there for over 2 hours because the food came out incredibly slow, the order was made wrong, and they forgot to bring out a few of the dishes. After reminding them, I was told they would check on the order and no one followed up or gave an update until they came back to see if I was ready to get the check. It seems they need to have a better system in place or better trained workers because whatever they are currently doing isn’t working well. The only reason it wasn’t a 1/5 stars was because there was a good variety of food selections on the all you can eat menu compared to other sushi places. The fish to rice ratio was way too much rice and not enough fish. If you value your time and money, spend your $33 for all you can eat sushi elsewhere.

First time there. Ordered a chef's choice special, but they only offer it as a "to go" option. We waited and had a few beers and appetizers. Food is fresh and delicious. The main complaint is that it was hot in the restaurant. At the end of the day, we'd go back and also try the unlimited sushi option.

Very bad place! They are charging tips without to ask us! The sushi are very expensive and small! I really don’t recommend. They also give free drinks for reviews on google, that why they have some good reviews

We went to this restaurant yesterday, and honestly, the food is just not worth the price—especially the sushi rolls. The rice was overly soft and mushy, and the seaweed wrap looked dull and greyish. The texture was sticky, stretchy, and overall very unpleasant. I genuinely don’t recommend this place. The rolls were worse than the pre-packaged ones from a grocery store. To make things worse, they charged us an extra $5 for leftovers, even though we told them we didn’t like the rolls and barely touched the food. We really didn’t eat much at all. I only went there because of the TikTok hype, but paying $35 for something like that was a complete waste. The service wasn’t great either. The staff seemed like they didn’t even want to be there—rushed, stressed out, and just not welcoming. The whole vibe felt off. The interior looked okay at first, but once you paid attention, it didn’t seem that clean either. Overall, one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I’ve had. Totally ruined my day.
