The food was incredible--not just the typical Japanese food you might find, but incredibly fresh and innovative. I came here with my wife who is not so much into sushi, and she enjoyed many great non-fish options like steak, spring rolls, grilled avocado, and broccoli with delicious sauce (pictured below). Not one dish I tried here was underwhelming-- especially the desserts! My highest recommendation (if you are with a group) is to share a few desserts because they are unlike any other. Unconventional in the best way. This is more than just a restaurant; the fascinating food combined with a beautiful location makes this the perfect spot for a higher end occasion.

The rooftop offers breathtaking views, but reservations are a must since it gets crowded. The food is excellent, but it’s a bit pricey, and the portions are smaller. But if you’re aware of that, you’ll be delighted by the elegant and friendly staff, as well as the lovely location. Decided last minute before a 4 PM flight to LAX to have lunch here. Ignacio was our server. He was very knowledgeable, professional personable, and knew what he was talking about. So rare nowadays. We took his suggestions and were delighted with the outcomes. As the expression goes, you get what you pay for, for what may be a small premium over Other sushi, focused restaurants we were treated to the most magnificent sushi I’ve ever had in my life outside of Japan, sat at the window with one of the most cherished views of Chicago right outside. Worth every penny, we were running late and regretted our decision to order dessert as the clock ticked. We made the decision to forgo the dessert and pay the check. The dessert showed up immediately, and the server insisted that we at least take a couple bites of it and that he would comp it. We both dipped our spoons in and were rewarded with an absolute delectable sensation. Don’t wait, give this place a try. We made the flight and dreamt about the sushi as we headed back to LA.
