We have no experience in hiking, and the mountain part of the loop was doable, but quite tough. But it was worth it for beautiful views and the experience. Definitely need to have water! The only thing that we didn't like was that in many places the trail is not marked (and is not obvious), so we had to wait until someone was coming to figure out the directions. Luckily this is a very popular trail.

First time in Colorado and was recommended this hike by my partners cousin who said it was easy. Well as someone from Arizona who is not use to elevation this hike definitely feels like medium to medium hard!! You have to climb. A LOT! "Hated it" going up but thats because I'm dramatic. I thought it was really beautiful and worth it if in fun company. We took a lot of breaks and it took 3 of us about 5 hours to go up and down the loop. I look forward to see if it gets easier the next time we visit.

Great hike! Make sure to where appropriate shoes on this trail. There are a lot of rocks that you can slip on as you make your descent. The views are pretty and you get a great quad workout.

Popular hike for a reason. It's got great views, really cool terrain, and a challenging uphill workout. You need to be fairly fit. If you do this hike regularly, you will become very fit!

A stunning trail that leads to a breathtaking view. According to the website, it's approximately a 1.4 mile trail. Difficult in that that gives the quads an exceptional workout. I love this trail.
