Joining a salsa performance team has always been on my bucket list, but finding one in Los Angeles that’s beginner-friendly felt so intimidating, especially walking in not knowing anyone. From the very first audition to the weekly rehearsals, I was quickly welcomed into a community that is warm, supportive, and incredibly uplifting. Some of the people I met have become my dearest friends both in and out of the dance studio. What made this experience truly unforgettable was the chance to perform at well-known venues and festivals across Los Angeles and even Las Vegas- opportunities I never imagined I’d have in the dance scene. Danny does an incredible job leading such a large team with care and intention. He creates an environment where every dancer, regardless of skill level, feels seen, supported, and inspired to grow—not just as a dancer, but as a performer. I’m so grateful for this experience and would highly recommend Movers and Shakers to anyone looking to challenge themselves, grow in their dance journey, and find a beautiful and fun community along the way.

Danny & Inna from Move Shake Dance have created an amazing program that is inclusive to all. I started with only Bachata class & have now moved to taking Salsa & Bachata 102. I appreciate the well balanced student numbers of men & ladies so no one is left out! During class partners are changed frequently to keep things moving. The class is fun & enjoyable & well paced for all levels of dancer from beginning to advanced. Missing a class isn’t a problem because they review past material at the beginning of class. Everyone participates & encourages each other. They have created a weekly open practice to provide an opportunity to work on class material. I’ve taken dance classes from other places over the years & by far this has been my favorite experience. The community guidelines are clear so everyone feels welcomed & safe. If you want to learn Latin Dancing Move Shake Dance is the best place!

I’ve enjoyed learning salsa at Movers and Shakers so much, I’d highly recommend it to anyone who is serious about learning how to Salsa. As a part time tennis coach, I personally feel that the curriculum is well structured and feel I have a good foundation to grow even having taken zero dance classes prior to this! I’m traveling from the Beverly Hills area so this also was a very easy choice for me. I love the community. Everyone has been so supportive and I feel more comfortable going out social dancing now that I’ve made some friends!

A fun and welcoming place for beginners! I was interested in learning Salsa and having never taken a dance class before, I wanted to make sure I chose a program that was catered to the fundamentals/beginner students. I live in the valley but making the drive to class at Movers and Shakers has been 100% worth it. I’m taking Salsa 101 and my class is full of beginners, many of whom have never danced before, making it a very judgement free zone. It’s also been really cool to see a small community form as class progresses! My instructor Ariella is absolutely amazing and is 100% the reason I’ve decided to continue with Salsa 102 after my current class ends! She creates a super welcoming and comfortable environment, does a great job breaking down the moves, and paces the class to make sure you always leave feeling really successful. Would highly recommend if you’ve ever even thought about taking a dance class! It can seem intimidating at first, but the 101 classes are perfect for beginners, and you get so many light bulb moments :)

I just completed Bachata 101 with the instructor Inna and thoroughly enjoyed it. The MAS program is top notch and the instructors are passionate and excellent dancers. They make learning the dance moves and musicality very easy. Within about a week, I started attending dance socials outside of MAS and knew enough moves to dance confidently with others outside my classes. I already signed up for Salsa 101 and am looking forward to improving my dance skills. Believe me when I say that it's a huge "flex" to know how to dance confidently to latin music.
