Went to Mr. Frostie today and the flavor selection was amazing: pistachio, dole whip, mango, etc. a small cone was ~2.50 which I think is very reasonable and my sandwich was nine dollars which is good for an on the go meal. Everything was absolutely delicious, we got a mango pineapple swirl cone.

TERRIBLE! Ice cream was 50% melted or more by the time I picked it up at the window and sat down at a table. Weather was only in the mid 70's. Nothing special about the taste. You know it's pretty bad when my kids were crying as we left saying "ice cream" because they experienced a bowl of ice cream soup with a banana in it. Oh and I almost forgot the rude staff that made me feel like an inconvenience instead of a valued customer.

This place is unbelievable. It's an icon of PB as a whole, and it's been around since the 1940s, long before I was born. Their menu is fairly straightforward, and the service was pretty fast. I've never had one of their shakes, though I hear it's good. I got their dirt cup, the cheapest option on their menu, but it hits the spot, with gummy bears and chocolate ice cream.

Mr Frostie's has the best chicken salad I've had. No where else compares or even comes close to being so good. They have very good food and good ice cream, too. I drive From East county with friends & family when I want chicken salad!!! Never change!!!
