I’ve attended NCD school adult ballet class for more than 2 years, I would highly recommend this school to any adult student, with or without dance experience, who wants to learn classic ballet. I especially love the class Ms. Lu teaches. Her class is very motivating, and I enjoy her passion and professional teaching style. I have witnessed the great improvement in many of my classmates! The school offers many classes (morning class and evening class), if I miss a class, I can easily find a makeup class at a time convenient to me.

I previously attended another studio, but the experience was not ideal, and I eventually gave up on ballet. In September 2024, I had the opportunity to watch NCD Dance School’s annual performance and was truly amazed by the adult dancers. Their performance inspired me to give ballet another try at NCD. After my first beginner class, I fell in love with Ms. Lu's teaching. She is incredibly passionate and professional, providing clear instructions and guiding us through movements with rhythmic classical music. Her class is perfect for beginners to enjoy ballet while building a strong foundation. I've already seen great improvement in both myself and my classmates. Another great aspect of NCD is its flexible class schedule. I like Saturday class the most but sometimes I have to miss due to other schedule conflict , but I can find makeup class in other weekday class too.

Avoid the place, the management is a mess. I asked before first class if there are any free trial lessons(as indicated in their website) for new students and they said no. So I paid $40 for a single drop-in lesson. Then I realized there are multiple new students in the class and everyone else got a free lesson. During the class the teacher don't pay much attention to the posture either. No instructions nor correctness. Waste of time. The lucky thing is there are multiple ballet studios from Palo Alto to Sunnyvale, I'll never visit here again.
