Inattentive service at best. Had at least 3 or 4 waiters take orders or bring food. Never heard a name and most items including the check were silently dropped off and picked up. The food however was certified delicious and well presented. The burger may seem like a “low end” menu item but it was excellent. And lots of add-ons can be had. The truffle fries are really good too. The lamb loin was a small portion but so tender and juicy and flavorful. It’s a very creative menu but they’re also really good with working around allergies. The ambiance is very nice, it’s a hotel lobby restaurant however so it’s small. But it wasn’t overly loud and the high ceilings and nice bright colorful artwork make sitting in it feel calm and relaxed. Valet parking was 10 dollars and those gentleman were very warm and welcoming. 2 staircases down to the restrooms.

This is not a typical restaurant connected to a hotel! Do not skip it and assume it's a basic spot to eat. This award winning restaurant is so good, we ate here five times on our trip - which we never do. Everything is made in house - from the pastrami to the Cacio E Pepe spaghettini. The flavors here were so familiar, but you could tell they were made with love and thoughtfulness. The most amazing thing we ate all week was the short rib toast with mornay sauce! You can only get it on weekends and only at brunch. The short rib is so good, we were hoping it would be on the dinner menu - but that's how much care they put into their menu- they are making short rib from scratch - just for weekend brunch. If you are a savory fan, this is one of the best things served on Prospect Street. Second savory delight would be the jerk pork belly - flavors you rarely taste together, but oh so good! The service was also top notch - Alex, Pablo and Shelly took very good care of us and always had great recommendations for each meal. You can sit inside, on the busy Prospect St. patio, or on the back patio, with partial ocean views. There is street parking around the area and $10 valet for the restaurant. Please take care of the valet guys too - they deliver old school service, which is so hard to find these days.

Two meals here over the course of three days. In both cases, the star was really the Jamaican jerk chicken. The other remarkable thing was the fact that this is in the Grand Colonial Hotel, which probably has the best service of any establishment (of any type) I’ve been in in a long time. Our first server truly belonged in that spirited group. The second night it was not that way. The first night we sat on the deck overlooking the pool. Heaters kept us toasty. It was quiet and we noticed how easy it was to talk. Seated at the banquette inside (the second evening) wasn’t that bad but it was markedly different. Depending on what your evening is meant to - be choose your environment. I am fortunate to have enjoyed Michelin starred establishments. This one is surprising. It’s not bad by any stretch of the imagination, but it may be struggling to maintain that star. Order the jerk chicken or don’t bother to go! Photos of the food don’t include the olive oil cake, “half-baked” chocolate cake, nor sorbet with which we topped the meal off - all were outstanding. Huge shout out to Jacob. This bartender can make a cocktail! Ask for what you want! He will craft a memory in a glass. It will make your evening.
