To fully enjoy everything the museum has to offer, plan to spend at least 4 hours. The exhibits are extensive and well-designed, encouraging hands-on learning and exploration. Make sure to check the schedule for the 3D cinema, as showings are held at specific times throughout the day and are definitely worth attending. One of our favorite parts was the live butterfly habitat. it's a magical experience to walk among so many beautiful, free-flying butterflies. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the facility was clean and well-maintained. No ticket is needed. Overall, it's a must-visit destination for families and anyone interested in science and the natural world!

I really enjoyed my visit to this museum. The place is huge and super clean, which made walking around really nice. The staff were all friendly and professional, and there was a ton to see and do. One of the highlights for me was the dinosaur areas, they're really well put together, with some awesome skeletons and tons of interesting info for both kids and adults. The pictures are just a little bit of the areas, you've gotta check out all the floors Whether you're into science, history, or just want something fun to explore, this place has something for everyone. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area

This museum has so many impressive interactive displays. The dinosaur exhibits are inspiring. The spaces were very clean and the area with the visual displays has endless drawers of hands-on shells and creatures to explore. Most all of the exhibits here are free of charge. An impressive collection of science and wonder for all ages. A must see when you are in downtown Raleigh.

a great experience. it’s very well suited for kids rather than adults i’d say. they have lots of unique exhibits on each floor and the butterfly/sloth exhibit is really nice too. it’s open to the public which is nice. there’s paid parking about a block down too.

An absolute must see!! I loved everything about this museum. It covered a span of topics, showed behind the scenes, a lot of labs youre invited to go in, the staff...absolute gems!!!!! I can't believe it has taken me so long to get in here!! The dueling dinos are outstanding! It was incredibly busy today but everyone handled it with courtesy and ease. I can't wait to come back!! I hope they update their shark games though. They've been declassified since the displays were made most likely. ;)
