This place is such a gem. I took classes taught by Luci (all level vinyasa), Carmen (yin yoga), Sarah, Audrey, and Maria, and got just what my body and mind needed of each class. There is no competition, the teachers are committed to actually teach you the poses, and they all truly care about creating a community. I am sad to be traveling for the summer months and won’t be able to join them for the beach yoga which starts June 2, but I highly recommend and cannot wait to be back.

I went seeking yoga in the RP area since 2019/2020 ish and came across this gem and been ever since. I’ve been all around Chicago with my yoga journey, but nothing compares to here. I’m like a distant cousin, but always feel welcomed when I can come. I actually feel like a human and a person, not a gender, a race, or a certain age, or a body type, I can literally come as I am and feel welcomed each time. The thing with fitness, you have these hinderances & aesthetics, like you have to be a certain age, body type, race, and gender to partake, but that’s not the case here. No matter what level, what color, what gender, what age, what body type, it doesn’t matter here, you can come as you are and just be and practice your yoga and zen. And it’s actual yoga! I’ve attended many sessions all over, but nothing compares to the actual practice here. So I’m thankful to have this place to be able to go. Thankful for North Loft being one of the safe spaces for me and hopefully for whomever is reading this review. I can’t find enough words to express my gratitude. ✨

I am in Chicago visiting my daughter, and when I travel, I love to check out local yoga studios. I passed this studio a couple times walking up and down Sheridan Road in Rogers Park. It was really close by, convenient class time, so I decided to check it out. I am so happy I did. The studio is small, but even though the class was a good size it did not feel cramped. I really loved the space. Lots of natural light which in my experience is very rare in yoga studios today. It reminded me a lot of what yoga studios used to be like before they became corporate and sterile. There was a grassroots, very chill vibe, and I felt very comfortable. The teacher Jesse was very welcoming and taught a solid flow that was both challenging, yet accessible to all in the room. Though I was only there this one time, there was a lot of students talking to each other, which is a good sign they have a solid community. Totally satisfied with my experience. I will definitely return on my next visit to Chicago!

Really beautiful space! A gentle, well-sequenced yoga class. Their beach yoga in the summer is also excellent!

I had a great experience here this last Monday. I took a 6am class on the beach and it was wonderful. Nice to have something before I go to work. Plus not many studios offer Yin classes and this is something I'm looking forward to. The pricing is completely reasonable which is necessary. I'm excited to enjoy more classes with this studio.
