I grew up in this neighborhood, so spent a lot of time in the summers here swimming(pool looks so much cooler now), and being a day camp councilor here one year. It's always been a good park, but has gotten better through the years. I've only seen it from the outside, but it looks like they have a hokey rink in the winter. I mostly come now for the dog park part of the park, & it's a good one. The dogs and their people I've met there are all pretty nice & it's a welcoming environment. I'm sure my dog wishes we'd go more often.

Norwood Park is a public Chicago Park district location offering indoor classes as well as senior citizens activities and a fitness center. During the summer months they have a very nice outdoor swimming pool. Lots of old trees provide plenty of shade. They also have a rollerblading skatepark toward the west border of the park, and a very nice playground for little kids.

This summer, my children attended day camp for the first time. The program was excellent. The camp included fun activities for the kids each day! They got to enjoy the outdoors and socialize with other kids their same age (6yo. twins) for the first time since the pandemic began. Danielle W. is amazing at her job and cares for the kids so much. We are lucky to have met her! Ms. Riley and Coach Pat made the summer memorable as well! The kids can't wait to go back next summer.

In 2004 I graduated from Taft H.S. I walked by this park almost every day on my way to school, tired, exhausted, not happy with life. The track field always made me look at it and was calling to try, too bad I waited till 2022 to try it, but let me tell you it's great. It's great because after run, you always fell great. Jokes aside. Beautiful park in a quiet neighborhood. Clean, someone always on the premises doing some work. People walking, tennis courts, pool that is open, what not to love. I only visit once in a while to run when I work in the suburbs, I know myself stop in before work or after. Coming from running in city lake front 99% of the time, this place feels like you traveled atleast 2hr+ outside the city, my thoughts.
