Why Notary Ceramics is a fun option when searching for things to do near me with friends and family

Notary Ceramics offers a distinctive experience for those seeking beautiful, handmade ceramic pieces, making it an excellent place to meet up with friends who appreciate art and craftsmanship. The business focuses on creating unique ceramic items through various traditional methods such as hand-throwing, hand-building, pressing, and slip casting. Each piece undergoes a detailed firing and glazing process that can take several days, emphasizing the artistry involved. Their workshop is located in the Pacific Northwest, where the clay is locally sourced, highlighting a commitment to regional materials and quality. Importantly, all glazes used are non-toxic, food-safe, and free from hazardous substances, making their ceramics safe for everyday use including in microwaves and dishwashers. Customers often enjoy browsing collections featuring minimal and elegant dining sets, kitchen ceramics, and even charming wall hangings like ceramic bells designed to bring luck to homes. The ambiance of the shop and the story behind each piece contribute to a more engaging and meaningful meet-up experience for friends who value both aesthetics and sustainability practices in handmade goods.

This is one of my favorite little family owned shops in portland. Not only do they have amazing handmade ceramics with timeless designs, but they also partner with other local or small batch businesses. I still remember my first time in the shop, I had just moved to portland (almost 5 years ago) checking out all their wonderfully curated goods, the owner herself offered me a cup of tea and we had a great conversation about the neighborhood and places I should check out. I highly recommend checking this place out, even just for the wonderful customer service.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE OR COMPANY. THEY ARE SCAMMERS. I BOUGHT A PURSE, NOT THE SAME BAG AS PICTURED. SPENT OVER $200, old, used, falling apart. I had to spend $30 to ship it back. A week later they still have not refunded me for the bag and shipping costs. Can’t get a hold of anyone, they just ghost you. This is not a legit business and I will be filing with the dept of consumer affairs, BBB. Causing others who are senior citizens with disabilities distress. This is who runs this company!!

I love this shop so much! It’s so peaceful in there with just the right blend of zen and subtle luxe. We bought a coffee mug and a small vase that were hand made and elegant. Every time I use the mug or the vase I am so glad I bought them. They are just little pieces of beauty! I also found out that they hold intimate events there and can’t wait to try them!!
