After volunteering here to glean donations last Saturday, it is my opinion that the NGO is a very well-run albeit small-scale food depository. Check out their website for how-to volunteer.

Nourishing Hope were a good 👍🏾 experience to see how others go there for items when they're away from their store 🏪. Nourishing Hope has grocery items and care items for those within the community 🙂.

We have volunteered at a pantry before but the way things are done here makes volunteering fun and takes into account different abilities (we come on Wednesdays and I can't lift very heavy items). I volunteer with my 8 year old and it is such a positive experience all around. It is a great way to start our Wednesdays.

We used to come here during the lockdowns and it was great. I have since used them in times of need since and they again were great. However, they’re under new ownership or something now and it’s terrible. I recently took in a friend of my son, whose family has been without a hole for almost two years. I updated my account to reflect what is now three people in my household, however apparently that info disappeared because when I went to pick up our food we received enough for maybe one person. We got a half gallon of milk, a dozen eggs, vegan cheese even though we are not vegans and vegan cheese is not cheese, a weird assortment of canned goods and a box of half rotted produce. Please, explain to me how that is supposed to be enough for two children and an adult for an entire month. I called and left a couple voicemails only to never be answered. They are unresponsive and unattentive to household needs. There are plenty of other food pantries in the neighborhood that will treat you like a human, talk to you on the phone with any questions you have and feed you like you and your family are not barn animals .
