When we were at the range, Carly and Mel made me feel very comfortable and heard. The patience they have is incredible! I attended the Women's Only CPL class and had an amazing experience. Like a lot of my classmates, I felt a lot of anxiety going in because I had no experience with firearms. Melissa and Carly did an amazing job of reassuring everyone and making it a safe space to learn. They provided a TON of useful information on everything from Michigan firearm laws to home safety to the different kinds of firearms available. They set up a "simulated" range to help prime everyone for the experience at the real range to help reduce anxiety for folks. At the range, they provided one-on-one feedback for each of the students to improve their stance and technique. They did a great job of meeting each student where they were at and we all came away feeling empowered. They also did a great job of letting folks know that, if you get to the end of the class and decide that you don't want to go forward with being a gun owner, that's okay too. If you're a woman and looking for a safe, non-judgemental space to begin your journey with firearms, start here!

The instructors were excellent and made me feel way more comfortable handling my weapon. I go to the gun range now and have gotten so much better at shooting.
